Showstopper Shraddha Kapoor Wins Hearts At ICW’23

Shraddha Kapoor turns head as a showstopper for designer Rahul Mishra on the last day of India Couture Week 2023. In a silver lehenga and her smile she looked ravishing on stage.

Since The Indian Couture Week started this year it has been always on the headlines. From Kiara Advani to Ananya Pandey and Aditya Roy Kapoor to Ishaan Khattar the fashion show was always full of celebrities, glamour and eye-catching designs. Actress Shraddha Kapoor too joined the list of celebs to walk the ramp this year. A few photos and videos were shared from the official instagram account of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).

On the last day of the ICW, fashion designer Rahul Mishra showcased his version of ‘We The People’. His showstopper Shraddha Kapoor was styled in a silver sequin bralette with pink floral details and she paired this up with a same fabric flowy lehenga skirt. A fun feathered shrug with frill details and silver work on the arms made the look more dramatic.

She kept her makeup quite minimal with soft silver eyes and nude lips. She completed the look with a silver choker around her neck, which was from the House of Raniwala 1881. Her shoulder-length wavy hair with a side partition gave the look more dimension.

This year, the collection of ‘We The People’ was inspired by nature. He mainly focused on his artisans and craftsmen. With the skill of his artists he was able to pull together amazing looks this year. The show was full of sequin and feathers. From dresses to bridal lehenga to men’s suits, his collection showcased his intricate ideas about sequin and glamour.

The FDCI official Instagram page shared a glimpse of his collection and said that the collection was one of a kind collection that showed the art of the artisans and narrated a meaning altogether. It was captioned as, “It is a work of wonderment that assumes if an embroiderer would really envision the adda (embroidery frame) turning into a lotus pond and if there is an instance when they feel themselves in the Sundarbans amidst its virgin forest, caressing a majestic tiger.”

Rahul Mishra’s collection this year gained much appreciation for incorporating craftsmanship into finest Indian details and embroidery.

Shraddha Kapoor did complete justice to the look with her cute smile and graceful personality. She was last seen in the movie ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkar’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She is currently getting ready for her next ‘Stree 2’ opposite Rajkumar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurrana.

The Hyundai India Couture Week by Fashion Design Council of India started from July 25 till August 2, 2023. The show gave opportunity to 16 designers this year to showcase their designs. From Falguni Shane Peacock to Dolly J and Gaurav Gupta, the show witnessed breathtaking designs and ideas on the ramp. The show was opened by Kiara Advani who walked the ramp in a pink attire for designer Falguni Shane Peacock.

On Day 2, Aditi Rao Hydari turned heads as she walked for designer Ritu Kumar as a showstopper in an ivory embroidered lehenga. Day 3 was won by actress Bhumi Pednekar who walked the show for Varun Bahl and Janhvi Kapoor who turned showstopper for Gaurav Gupta Couture.

On Day 4, actor Ranbir Kapoor walked as a showstopper for couturier Kunal Rawal in a Black sequin kurta and lungi style pants. The day was completed with Couturier JJ Valaya’s collection on ‘Baroda’.

Made in Heaven 2 starred Sobhita Dhulipala and actor Ishaan Khattar walked as a showstopper for designer Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna on Day 5 of India Couture Week. Couturier Tarun Tuhiliani’s collection on “Art of Culture’ ended the fifth day.

On day 6 we again saw a couple of bollywood queens as showstopper when Ananya Pandey walked in a golden attire for designer Rimzim Dadu and actress Athiya Shetty walked for designer Anamika Khanna.

Day 7 witnessed actress Disha Patani walking as a showstopper for designer Dolly J. On the other hand Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan turned showstopper for Shantanu & Nikhil’s show.

Actress Vaani Kapoor turned showstopper for Isha J on Day 8 wearing a bright red lehenga. The last day of the show showcased designer Rahul Mishra’s take on “We The People’ by his showstopper Shraddha Kapoor.
